Pouilly Fumé

The vineyard of Pouilly has enjoyed great growth since the Gallo-Roman era.
In 1937 he obtained the appellation Pouilly-fumé which gives him a growing notoriety throughout the world.
The wine is exclusively made from white sauvignon grape, which gives it the notion of smoked and makes it recognizable among all the wines.

Point of interest not far, The canal of Briare.
It is the first summit-level canal to use pound locks, it connects the Loire Valley to the Seine River. It was built in 1606 under the reign of Henri IV, however it will start to be used under Louis XIII.
